Overview of GND Series

Grooving is a machining process used for various mechanical components, including automotive parts. Compared to conventional turning, it is more prone to chip clogging and surface defects, leading to greater challenges with chip evacuation. Furthermore, during machining, the entire width of the cutting edge contacts the workpiece, resulting in high cutting edge loads and a tendency for issues like tool vibration.
